The first big snow
I took my boy, Murphy, out for his own photo shoot after the first big snow of the year. It was melting fast by the time we finished our breakfast. Yes, breakfast and coffee are big priorities in the Hoglund household. Murphy inhales his breakfast in 30 seconds so I guess it was my fault we weren't out before sunrise. Once we got to Washington Park, the big challenge was keeping Murphy from eating snow. He thinks the world is a giant snow cone after a snowstorm. I shouldn't even mention his fondness for goose poop because it's just plain disgusting.
You may think that my dog looks like a perfect model but, trust me, he's just as kooky as the rest of them. To keep his attention focused, I had a tennis ball in my hand but he still bored of doing a sit-stay and started looking around for trouble. Sometimes, I can use his A.D.D. to my advantage. The photo with Murphy looking at the tree is an example of him losing focus because he thought he heard a squirrel. I'm pretty sure he only heard snow melting off the tree but it turned into a photo-op when he turned his head. Good boy!
Note: Murphy's leash has been edited out. You didn't think we'd risk a ticket at Wash Park, did you?
